Thank You: Plan B Concludes

Today was the big day for the send off of the Plan B Birthday package to Michael, courtesy of his agency in London. I firstly want to thank the principle 11 people who financially contributed to this project - it was a fun TEAM effort! Secondly, I'd like to thank the 55 Fassinators who emailed to me wonderful messages from all over the world to wish Michael a happy birthday. Many of the messages told Michael how much his work means to them, and what an inspiration he is. I'm confident he will find each message warm and sincere. I took the package to FedEx today and with the customs order forms blood samples/fingerprints, and measuring, the 6.5 lbs box shipping cost $225. I don't care if it's ghetto to announce it, but dammit... I was taken the hell back! I'm like, bitch, it's London, not Mars!! Let me repeat... this was just the SHIPPING cost, nothing else! And yes, due to the content's fragile nature, I wanted to track this box and I got 2-day Int'l delivery for Wednesday. For $5 less, it would arrive on Friday. Fuck it, let it get there Wednesday!

BUT... it's all relative and a few Plan B friends immediately offered to help offset the costs. I am so grateful to them as I am a poor ass Grad student person.

I took a picture of the open box before I taped it, and at the top of the sekret gift, is a folder with 4 glorious sheets of prime stationery in four shimmery springtime colors of the 55 birthday greetings people submitted. On April 2nd, I will reveal the other pictures I took yesterday of the contents in the box. So again, thanks to everyone who contributed, this gift from the fans of Fassinating Fassbender would not be, without all of your support, and I mean that.

Admin updates: Now that Dionne is all set and gung ho to post with ease to FF, I'd like to announce that we have a new FF admin contributor, Veronica. I got to know her a bit more through our Plan B email exchanges, as well as through twitter and tumblr. She has proven to be one of the most staunch supporters of Michael Fassbender, and she loves to write. Veronica is going to be a great asset here. Please take a moment to welcome her!
