I really do enjoy reading close encounter fan reports from friendly Fassinators. Emilie is one of the regular commenters here and she kindly mailed me a copy of Obsession last week, so she's really a sweetheart! And that's why I was doubly happy for her in that her 7-hour train trip to Paris paid off in being able to actually meet Michael the other day.

This picture was taken on Emilie's phone. Her only brilliant shot of Michael. I really like this!
I think they hadn't expected so many fans to be there! There was no barrier in front of the cinema. But Michael was very kind and took a little of his time for us, contrary to Charlize who didn't even look at us! The paparazzi were a bit rude but it was ok, noone has been hurt! I look ridiculous on this vid but I was so HAPPY he spoke to me and looked at me in the eyes (it was my secret dream!). You're right, I'll never forget this day but I hope I will be able to attend a real "avant première" where I could see him a bit longer! :) - Emilie

Thanks for sharing this with us Emilie! You have demonstrated that with being proactive and planning to the T, fans can meet Michael. And I think I can say for everyone reading this, that we're glad that Michael appreciates us fans and give us a few moments of his time. We all hope he never becomes tired and jaded from fans, at premieres, to just walk pass us like many high-profile celebrities do. Michael is special, and that's why we care about him.
