Where is the paparazzi when you need them?

Michael Fassbender has been down in Louisiana for several weeks now and not one paparazzi shot of him has been taken of him around New Orleans. This is an injustice! Surely pap understand the high price involved getting a picture of Michael now. According to tweets this week between a hardcore Fassinator and an extra on the set of 'Twelve Years a Slave', Michael has made a great impression on everyone and has been seen at a grocery store in full red beard with some male friends. But that's all I know so far. If anyone else has heard anything, please let us know.

The Fassinating Fassbender Pinterest hit 2,000 pins yesterday! I had no idea how well the board would take off, but I'm greatly impressed. Remember, if you want the ability to help out and post pins of Fassy, please let me know, but first, you have to register with Pinterest and 'follow' the FF board.

Also yesterday, actress Chloe Sevigny used Michael to get her name up on the Google search by making a lame claim that 'Shame' was "thin" and would have been a better film had Sean Penn film it. Really? Who in the hell is she to say that and by proxy, dissed director, Steve McQueen who did a brilliant job, and hype up Sean Penn instead. This heifer isn't even a director, or a producer... she's not even that great of an actress! Also, she said that Michael "got off scot free" with his nudity. Really? She must be inhaling too much of that Chloe parfum she promotes. If anyone's been paying attention, Michael paid a huge price in going full nude in Shame, so she needs to step off and shut the fuck up. If you care, you can read the rest of her 'thin' whining at Film-News.

As I'm already making plans to attend TIFF for my 9th year in a row, it made me recall in fondness how much fun I had last year in meeting two Fassinators, one from China, and one girl from Ontario. I shall not have such a Fassy experience this year, and that is perfectly fine - there's enough stress related to attending the festival as it is. But this year, I'm thinking about starting a new blog, one I should have friggin' started years ago, which will focus on my Toronto International Film Festival adventures. I take so many pictures of the city and of the red carpet and Q&As that just wind up sitting in my computer picture hard drive. So I think I'm going to take the plunge and create a TIFF review blog and post stuff there from now on. Once it's up, I'll let you know.

And in thinking about meeting the fans last year, and by enjoying my wonderful trip to Ireland, I got the idea about how nice it would be to see how many Fassinators would be interested in meeting up in a city and have fun. Back in 2003-ish, me and six other Pearl Jam fans met up in Cleveland to go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame museum to check out what they had there on Grunge music and Pearl Jam. It was a Friday to Sunday thing and we had a blast! We met on a PJ messageboard and since we all lived within driving distance to Cleveland (two people flew in from out West), we thought it would be nice to meet up in person, have dinner, drinks, play PJ cds, exchange PJ related merchandise, and go to the museum. It was brilliant fun and I thought it would be awesome to have something similar with other Fassbender fans. In the current poll, I listed cities that Michael has worked in, lived, stayed for long visits, or he is quite fond of. For instance, if the interest was serious and nine people really, REALLY wanted to converge in Venice Beach, CA, we would work out a schedule for the Fassbender Fan Field trip, (example: 27-30 June 2013), book hotel and meet up. Michael loves VB and stayed there for a couple months in losing weight for Hunger, and he hangs out there when he's in LA, he's done photo shoots there too (refer to Black Book Magazine Dec 2009). And since I know and love Venice Beach like the back of my hand, I could take the group around. This is just an idea I want to toss out there and see if it has life. So if you're the sociable type, and think it would be fun to meet the Fassinators that you interact with online, as well as be in a setting that is associated with Michael, then vote in the poll, and comment in this thread your thoughts. We'll see where this takes us.
