London is the Winner!

As you can see from the poll that asks which city would you like to meet in for a possible Fassy Field trip, 38% of you voted for London! That's a nice and logical choice for an International Fassy fan base. Tied for second place are New York City and Killarney at 18%, and coming in third is Paris. Next year, most likely in mid-late May or early June, I want to visit Paris, but as usual, I will make a pit stop in London for a couple of days before taking the train to Paris. Sooooo, ideally, if a Fassy Field trip were to occur next year, London would seem to be the best place to rendezvous. And for those who can't make it to London, you could consider bumping into me in Paris.

At the appropriate time and when I can confirm my own travel plans, I will be happy to let you guys know if a Fassy Field trip will take place. I don't imagine a lot of people truly participating in this, most likely a dedicated few, and that's fine. If this concept comes together, I envision meeting up with some Fassinators and just enjoying London together, and visiting known places that Michael has been to in public. And no, I don't know where the man lives and I don't want to know, but his groovy neighborhood of Hackney is fair game, and I expect to hang out around there for a full day - even see a film at the Hackney Picturehouse. When I visited the neighborhood in December, it was cold and I had dinner and the Da Vinci gig in London later that day, so it was a short but very cool trip. Next time, I want to hang out there longer. Go to pubs, eat cupcakes, shop at Broadway Market, catch a film, roam London Fields, etc. One way to look at this is that it provides an opportunity for Fassinators who have befriended each other through this blog, to have the chance to actually meet and enjoy a day or two together and talking about the career of the guy that brought us together. Basically, if you think about it, none of us would even know each other if we didn't fancy the actor Michael Fassbender. So, you get the picture.
