According to the Albuquerque Business News, a section of their downtown area will be closed off in mid-January to accommodate filming for Frank starring Michael Fassbender, and a newly announced co-star, Maggie Gyllenhaal. I'm surprised about this because I thought it was going to be filmed in the UK/Ireland. So if you are in the Albuquerque area, you may have a shot at spotting The Fass! I just hope that if and when Michael films in Michigan, that the Michigan Film Office is as forthcoming with all the deets that the ABN is providing, cuz this is serious informacion for stans (stalker fans).
And to end the year stirring up crap, gossipers have added Michael to their Hunks on the Prowl list. I'm just posting this because it's boring this time of year. That's all, so take it with a teaspoon of salt.
Several areas of Downtown will be shut down in early January for the filming of the new movie “Frank.” The film is advising businesses Downtown that the film, a comedy that stars Michael Fassbender and Maggie Gyllenhaal, will be shooting on Jan. 8, 11, 15 and 17. The film will be shooting at Doubletree Hotel, the Albuquerque Convention Center, the Fourth Street Mall, Sister bar, and the Sunshine Theater, said location manager Deborah Wakshull in a letter left at local businesses over the weekend. Residents and businesses will have access during the filming.
The film is written by award-winning comedian Jon Ronson, who wrote “The Men Who Stare at Goats,” which was also filmed in New Mexico. Source: ABN
