You may be wondering why I selected the background image of Michael Fassbender as Brandon from
Shame. Well, I think subconsciously, I was inspired by Barbara's 'female gaze' theory
article of Michael's new male masculinity. After a few years of not having an active blog image of Michael, I wanted to have something that grabbed the attention of all gazes, not just the female kind - The Human Gaze. Specifically, this image is a scene from Shame where Brandon is listening in a private phone conversation his sister is having. The look of curiosity and concern is etched in his face. For the purposes of this blog, we can imagine that Michael is listening in on what we're saying here, and that idea is funny, inviting, and thrilling. :-)
