First Glance at Michael Fassbender in 'Slow West'

Michael Fassbender is starring in and producing Slow West, filming now in New Zealand. The film is about a young man, played by Kodi Smit-McPhee, who travels west in search of a lady he loves, and Michael is a mysterious guy he travels with. I reckon that filming will end just before Christmas, that way he could enjoy the holiday with family, and then head back down under to film MacBeth.

12 YEARS A SLAVE wins the ADAM, UPC Audience Award, at Amsterdam Film Week

Last night, director Steve McQueen received the ADAM (UPC Audience Award) for his film 12 YEARS A SLAVE. The award was presented to him by the director of Amsterdam Film Week, Fulko Kuindersma, on the closing night of the event. 12 YEARS A SLAVE was voted Best Film by the audience of Amsterdam Film Week. This was the 3rd edition of Amsterdam Film Week and took place from 28 October to 3November in the centre of Amsterdam. The event was concluded with a public premiere of the film DIANA. This year, the AFW attracted more than 10.000 visitors and sold out all of its premiere screenings. UPC and NRC are the founding and media partners of the festival, respectively.
